ActiveJet Team has established strategic cooperation with Michał Kwiatkowski and his Toruń-based Copernicus Cycling Academy. The Toruń-based cycling club has become a resource base for the ActiveJet Team. The mission for both Copernicus and ActiveJet Team is to promote all forms of cycling among children, teenagers and adults and to join forces in the delivery of training for all junior categories. The two partners will put emphasis on activities designed to promote safe biking.
In January 2014, the ActiveJet Team established strategic cooperation with the Copernicus Cycling Academy. The Toruń-based cycling club has become a resource base for the ActiveJet Team. This means that the most talented junior team cyclists from Toruń and the Toruń School of Sports Championship will be able to continue their sport careers as part of the team managed by Piotr Kosmala.
“I am very pleased to have such a good partner as the ActiveJet Team. It is important for Copernicus to serve as a resource base for a professional cycling team. I want young cyclists to see prospects for their future, and this is helped by our close cooperation with a professional team. ActiveJet Team cyclists will attend classes at Copernicus, and we're planning joint training and consultation sessions. I know Piotr Bieliński and I strongly support his work for the Polish cycling community. I hope that ActiveJet Team will take part in the Tour de France race in a few seasons’ time,” commented Michał Kwiatkowski.
The primary goal of the cooperation between the ActiveJet Team and the Copernicus Cycling Academy is to provide comprehensive training to junior cyclists. The partners are also planning to work to promote cycling in Poland among various age groups, to organise large-scale cycling events and to provide education in road biking safety to both bikers and motorists.
”I'm a big enthusiast of cycling, also because I've decided once again to invest in this sport and build a professional team, this time on a larger scale. As the ActiveJet Team, we want to be a cycling power in Poland and to take part in the world's greatest races. It's particularly important in professional sport practice to manage your team properly from the very beginning so that a person joining a team such as the ActiveJet Team has the right habits and is well prepared both physically and psychologically. The idea behind the cooperation of the ActiveJet Team and Michał Kwiatkowski’s Copernicus Cycling Academy is to correctly prepare the future elite of Polish cycling. By joining forces, we can do a lot for cycling to become the flagship sport for Poland and for young cyclists to be provided with appropriate conditions for training," Piotr Bieliński, president of ACTION S.A, the owner of the ActiveJet brand.
The ActiveJet Team and the Copernicus Cycling Academy will join forces in a variety of activities designed to promote cycling.
Plans include, for example, a joint series of mass events and a trip to the Tour de France race with cycling fans.
